Evelyn Sorohan is a Clare based contemporary visual artist and teacher. She studied part time in NCAD and later full time in IADT. Within this exhibition each piece is made with plastic (rubbish) leaves which the artist has salvaged, and later melted, shaped and painted. These plastic processes which are experimental in nature are crucial to the integrity of her work. Evelyn is interested in the environmental impact of plastic on the planet and explores this theme in her work.
As part of this exhibition the artist will also be facilitating two workshops with local Clare based schools. Her exhibition runs from the 3rd – 26th of April with the official launch taking place on the 6th April at 3pm.
