There is no one way to meditate, yet there are some common steps that can help us on our way to a more meditative space. Regularity of practice is one of the keys, and this new Monday Morning Meditation aims to become a comfortable space for on-going practice as well as introducing newcomers to the fundamentals of meditation.
In each guided session, awareness of the body and the breath will be used as anchors for practice – you will become familiar with tuning in to them. We will experiment with concentration practices, watching the mind and its thoughts, chanting and drawing/ colouring. Sometimes we will sit in stillness (on the floor or on chairs), other times we will be moving. Over time, you’ll find out which approach works best for you, and gain the tools to introduce it into your daily life. A regular meditation practice can be pure gold.
