Mid-summer festival – Nature and Heritage on the Loop

Presented by Loop Head Tourism

Enjoy the lovely long days in the Loop Head Peninsula around the summer solstice period.

To help you with this, we have put together a series of events where you can have a truly authentic experience in this unspoiled area on the Cliff Coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

We will be opening the festival at the Loop Head Labyrinth, Purecamping where we celebrate all the Celtic festivals year round, including this significant time of the Summer Solstice (June 21st) which is the longest day of the year.

We will have:

>Nature, Heritage and History talks and walks including e-bike tours

> Nature experiences with visits to Carmen’s horse-riding school and Loop Head Alpacas

> Art and Nature Workshops

> Traditional skills workshops

> Traditional music sessions

In parallel to all this we will have our usual geology and dolphin watching boat trips running from Carrigaholt weather dependent. The Seol Sionna Traditional Boating club’s Sally O’Keeffe will also be out and about on the water at this time and weather depending, you may get a chance to be a crew member for the day.
