Ennis Book Club Festival – Summer Special

This is an opportunity to enjoy several of the highlights of the March Ennis Book Club Festival, which was cancelled due to snow.  The Laureate for Irish Fiction, Sebastian Barry, will be interviewed by Seán Rocks on Saturday evening. This event includes a stimulating panel discussion and specially filmed tributes.

The afternoon offers a lovely combination of the film It’s Not Yet Dark  and an interview with Ruth Fitzmaurice. The film follows Simon Fitzmaurice, a talented young Irish film maker with MND, as he embarks on directing his first feature film. The interview of Ruth, now widowed, is based on her inspiring memoir I found my tribe about their life together with a young family. Details of these and other fringe events are on our website.

2pm: Film Screening of ‘It’s Not Yet Dark’ €5

4pm: Ruth Fitzmaurice in conversation with Mick Heaney €12/€10

8pm Sebastian Barry in a tribute hosted by Seán Rocks & guests €15/€12
