Seisiúin traditional music shows are held annually in Cois na hAbhna during the Summer months on Wednesday and Friday nights, and offer locals and visitors alike authentic traditional entertainment in a traditional setting.
The show, which starts at 8.30pm, is structured into formal and informal parts. The formal part allows the audience to experience all aspects of the traditional entertainment, including music on the various traditional instruments, step-dancing, and singing both in Irish and English.
This will be followed by light refreshments before the informal part begins. This last part allows the audience to participate in some of the local dances, as basic tuition is given in the simpler céilí dances (Siege of Ennis, Walls of Limerick etc.).
Audience members may also like to contribute items of music or singing of their own. The informal part can often be the highlight of the night for visitors. Admission is €10.00. Tickets are available at the door each night. Concessions will be arranged for larger groups.
