Joe Queally presents the story of the murder of John Doolaghty in 1882 in Clare and the execution of Francey Hynes for the crime.John Doolaghty was a herdsman for the Hynes family. The Hynes were evicted and ordered Doolaghty not to herd for the new occupiers of the land. He disobeyed and was murdered on 9 July 1882. Francie Hynes was charged with his murder and executed in Limerick Jail on 11 September 1882. Was Hynes innocent? Catherine Delahunty and Joe Queally have written about this Doora Barefield incident.
