After having worked in the UK as a lecturer in Further and Higher Education, Lionel retired to the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo, to live and to paint. Thirteen years later both he and his wife decided to move to his familial homeland, the island of Ireland, where he found the wide-open spaces and perspectives – both geometric and aerial – utterly enthralling. Taken together with the totally different colour palette required to paint in Ireland, this wider horizon has given Lionel a renewed impetus to paint.
This event is free and all are welcome to attend.
The exhibition runs from the 16th Oct to the 23rd November.
