St. Cronan’s Church has been in use since before the year 1,000 AD and is believed to be the oldest church in continuous use in Ireland and the only surviving building that would have been used by Brian Ború.
Features of the church include cyclopean masonry, 10th century building features, ‘School of the West architectural features and a magnificent stained glass window.
The church is on the left hand side of the village of Tuamgraney, as you enter from the Killaloe direction.
