Scattery Island Ferry Service

Scattery Island Ferry Service

Ferries Depart from Kilrush Marina from May to September with multiple sailings daily

Since May 2018, Scattery Island is deemed by Trip Advisor as the No. 2 Top Thing To Do in County Clare.

Our new catamaran ferry is licensed to carry up to 70 passengers and has 55 seats. The outdoor seating area features an all-weather canopy to provide complete shelter from the rain if required.

The ship is called An Breandan. St. Brendan the Navigator was the Patron Saint of Navigators, and Breandan is also the name of one of the owners’ fathers, who was born on Scattery Island.

The vessel can cater to group bookings, school tours, or corporate days out, and the deck area features moulded seating and tables. It is wheelchair friendly and can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs per cruise.

We offer a cafe service onboard that includes tea, coffee, water, and snacks, open to guests while the vessel is underway.

Our vessel is fully licensed by the Marine Survey Office in Ireland. We look forward to welcoming you onboard An Breandan soon!
