This little gem is a bistro-style restaurant offering fresh, home-cooked locally produced foods, wine and beer and speciality coffees. It’s a family run restaurant set in an over 100 years old, traditional stone built cottage with a flag stone roof, which has been tastefully transformed into a cosy, unique and family friendly restaurant.
Quality locally produced foods (where possible) are offered at reasonable price, with an emphasis on good friendly service. The food here is simple, honest and full of flavour: good comfort food that leaves you feeling like you have had a good hug from mammy! Some of the favourites are fish and chips, fish pie, beef and Guinness stew, warm salads and gourmet sandwiches – as well as a specials board. There is an award winning, full children’s menu and home-made desserts such as crumbles, cheesecakes and cakes. Prices are very reasonable – with lunch averaging around 15 euro and average dinner priced at 25 euro.
Located just 5 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher, the restaurant has an extensive children’s menu as well as two playgrounds in the garden. It is also coeliac-friendly and vegetarian- friendly. There is outside seating with views, home made produce for sale and ample parking.
Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 11 am – 9.30 pm high season. Hours may vary off season and the restaurant is closed from the end of October to Easter. Check the web page at www.stonecutterskitchen.com
