Call into the Burren Smokehouse Visitor Centre and get a tasting of our Burren smoked Irish Organic salmon. Then watch a short film about the smoking process (free of charge – available in English, German, French, Italian, Swedish & Spanish).
Inside and outside of our shop, you will discover mosaics that are telling the story of the “Salmon of Knowledge”.
Marvel at the nostalgic atmosphere in our shop and smell the oak smoke as soon as you come through the door. Feel the rumble of the production facilities under your feet as you explore the retired kiln and smokebox that we used when we first set up the Burren Smokehouse
We are very passionate about the quality of our products and about our customer service. You can place an order while in our shop and have the salmon delivered to your home. Or, if you live in London, you can buy it in Harrods. Its velvety taste will instantly reignite vivid memories of the Burren and the wild Atlantic!
We are associated with Slow Food Ireland and help organise the annual Burren Slow Food Festival which takes place every May in Lisdoonvarna. We are also member of Good Food Ireland and the Burren Ecotourism Network.

The centre can also cater for groups of up to 50 people – booking in advance is necessary.
We are open every day of the year (apart from Christmas and New Year’s Day).
