The Brendan O’Regan Room restaurant at The Old Ground Hotel has hosted many special lunches and dinners for the people of County Clare and for the many visitors who frequent the hotel. Memories are made here and many of the anniversary or birthday dinners are reminders to families of previous special gatherings in the years gone by. The room is tastefully decorated in soft restful colours with some modern art.
Head Chef Freddy Rynne and his talented team choose the very best of local produce and prepare and present it with skill and flair. Popular dishes include Black Sole, Roast Duck and Rack of Burren Lamb. Sirloin, T Bone and Fillet Steaks are tender and succulent and there is good variety of local seafood. The pastry section bakes all homemade breads and desserts and is renowned for Chocolate Truffle Cake, Irish Coffee Torte and Winter Berry Crumble. There is both an A La Carte Menu and a Dinner Menu. Lunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays and other days by prior arrangement.
There is a professional team of warm, friendly, food servers. A good wine selection is carefully chosen from European , Australian, New Zealand and Californian grape producing areas. There is an interesting list of the best of Irish Whiskeys and Liqueurs.
