Liscannor is a magnificent coastal village on the west coast of County Clare. It is a small rural village situated at the end of Liscannor Bay. There are numerous accommodation providers in the village along with pubs. Liscannor is very busy throughout the summer season and the Cliffs of Mother are just 4km from the village.
Angling is very popular in Liscannor especially at the pier and the beach. For the kids, you can visit the Moher Hill Open Farm which offers hours of fun. One of the most renowned aspects of Liscannor is its flagstone which is called Liscannor Stone. The stone is used in everything from houses, walls, flooring, paving and roofs. An audio visual room at Liscannor Rock Shop showcases the quarry methods used to extract the stone along with quarrying tools and photographs of Liscannor in the 1800’s.
