Tim Smythe 10k, O'Callaghan's Mills

The maiden Tim Smythe 10k run/walk/cycle will take place on Saturday 25th May at 4pm in O'Callaghan's Mills. Tim Smythe was a famous Irish athlete who was brought up in O'Callaghan's Mills. In 1931 he won the World cross-country championship in Dublin. The O'Callaghan's Mills commuinty will host the first Tim Smythe 10k in memory of their local hero.
Registration is open from 2pm and the run/walk/cycle will start at 4pm from the Mills Tavern.
Hot showers are available afterwards in the nearby GAA club and refreshments will be served in the Mills Tavern on your return.
Entry is €10 and under 16's are free. Prizes will be given to the first 3 men and women who cross the finishing line.
A great evenings entertainment is promised afterwards in the Mills Tavern with live music and the famous 'Black Pudding Night'.
