'Wildflower Wonderland- The Flowers and Plants of the Burren in Summer'with Micheline Sheehy Skeffington on 7th July, 2013 at 2.15pm at Gortlecka Crossroads, or take 2pm bus from NPWS info point Corofin.
Join us for July’s Burrenbeo Trust walk led by Dr Micheline Sheehy Skeffinton, plant ecologist from NUI Galway. The walk will focus on the array of plants and flowers which the Burren is famed for. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to visit the nearby ‘Father Ted’ house where people can enjoy some refreshments. There will be a €5 charge per person for the optional tea and scones.
Walk starts at 2.15pm from Gortlecka crossroads, or take the 2pm bus from the NPWS info point in Corofin. The walk is open to everyone. However, it is free for Burrenbeo Trust Members and a donation of €5 is suggested from non-members.
