Building on from the success in previous years this years festival promises to be a great weekend of Music, Dancing and singing It starts off on Friday the 9th with the Official Opening of Festival in Tulla Courthouse at 8.00pm followed by a CD Launch ‘Flagstone Memories’ by Andrew MacNamara & Orla Harrington and Jim Higgins. There will be a ‘Power Session’ in the Powerhouse led by Patricia Clark and for the dancers there will be an Opening Céilí in John Minogues at 10.00pm.
Saturday 10th will see a host of workshops being run in St. Joseph’s Secondary School with registration at 10:30am and Classes from 11:00 – 4.30pm where A degree of competence will be expected in chosen instrument. at lunch time there is an open Day Tulla Stables Artist Studio – Jewellery, Pottery, Sculptor, Print and Paintings. Live Music Sessions at the Stables throughout the day. That evening there will a Ceol na mBan Concert in Courthouse featuring Catherine McEvoy, Eileen O’Brien, Mary MacNamara, Bríd O'Donohue, Deirdre McSherry, Nora Butler with Admission €10 Seating is limited, so early booking is advised that night at 10pm there will be a Céilí Mór with The Tulla Céilí Band in the St Joseph’s Secondary School Hall.
Sunday 11th sees another day of singing and dancing starting with Aifreann Gaeilge – in St Peter and Paul’s Church, Tulla Comhaltas Mass Celebrant Fr. Martin O’Brien and then at 12:00 there will be a Singing Session in Teach Ól with Robbie McMahon & Nora Butler followed by an Open Air Session of Music & Dance in the Square and then that night at 9:30 there will be a Closing Céilí at Minogues bar with music by Jim Corry, Mark Donnellan & Charlie Harris.
