The Mountshannon Arts Festival is an annual festival held at various locations in and around the beautiful lakeside village of Mountshannon in County Clare. The official Opening Ceremony and a night of music and celebration is on Saturday 26th May and the festival continues on through the Bank Holiday weekend, finishing on Monday 4th of June. Visual and Performance art exhibitions, Theatre, Film, Green Fair, Craft and Art activities and a variety of workshops open to all including dance and painting classes. Free outdoor lakeshore concerts, storytelling, puppetry, demonstrations and participatory activities for all the family. Main lakeside events take place over the Bank Holiday weekend. Traditional music is represented also with renowned fiddler Zoe Conway in concert May 27th, sessions throughout the week and the annual singing session in Keane's Bar on Monday June 4th with sean nos, storytelling and Brian O' Rourke. The Festival is produced in association with Clare County Council, The Arts Council and Mountshannon Community Council.
