The Ennis Book Club Festival in association with Clare County Library is a unique literary and social gathering for readers from all over the world.

This 3 day annual event takes place on the first weekend of March in one of Ireland's oldest and most beautiful towns. Here you can share your reading passions and meet your favourite writers.

The programme includes readings, discussions, workshops, walking tours, advice on organising book clubs and reading lists, chocolate tastings, events as Gaeilge, cookery demos and opportunities to meet other book club members.

Authors/speakers will include Joseph O’Connor, Lionel Shriver, Paul Durcan, Tim Pat Coogan, Ruth Dudley Edwards, Diarmaid Ferriter, Paul Howard (Ross O’Carroll Kelly), Claire Keegan, Claire Kilroy, Fiona Looney, Thomas Lynch, Niall McMonagle, Alan Titley, Niall Williams, Gerry Hunt and many more. Festival Programme and booking details will be available in January.

David McWilliams will speak and take questions at the Temple Gate Hotel on March 6th at 10.00 am. Joe Duffy will join Fiona Looney for ’10 Books You Should Read’ in Glór at 11.30 am on the same day.
