Tim King is a self-taught artist living in West Clare. He is originally from Limerick and moved to West Clare ten years ago with his wife and family.  He always had an interest in drawing and in art in general, but it was not until later in life that he found out that he was good at drawing. His paintings are mostly landscapes in watercolour and mostly of the surrounding area where he lives in West Clare. He likes to work out in the open from sketches, and then when he gets back to the studio do a full painting of the sketch he has just done.  He mostly works in watercolour but since he has started an adult education in Kilrush he has recently started using chalk pastels, charcoal and biro.  His watercolours are all framed and mounted professionally and come in a range of sizes.  He has also done a few pastel copies of the famous paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec which he found very interesting.  His paintings range in price from E200 for the watercolours and for the bigger pastels E250.  He also has copies of the original watercolours in mounts only for the small price of E35. He hopes you enjoy his work and hopes to see you all at the Exhibition.
