• New work by two Clare artists, upstairs at the Courthouse Gallery

Terrascope is an exhibition of work by Jackie Maurer and Fiona Woods, featuring new work in the form of paintings, drawings and ceramics.

Jackie Maurer is a ceramicist who works intuitively with forms, sometimes pushing them to their limits. She uses various methods to apply colour and pattern to the surface of her works. For Terrascope she will show a collection of recent porcelain objects that play with ideas of curve and edge.

Fiona Woods is a visual artist who works primarily in sculpture and public art. For Terrascope she will show her first collection of paintings and drawings for ten years. These small, intensely personal works reference Woods’ passion for Folk Art, whilst also reflecting on contemporary social environmental realities.
