The Rose of Clare festival is now in existence since 1979. The Festival is designed to cater for all age groups and is a “Fun” week. While there are many social and sporting events through the week, the Highlight of the Festival is the selection of the “ Rose of Clare”. The Doonbeg Currach Regatta will take place on August Bank Holiday Monday at Doonbeg Pier. A great day of rowing is guaranteed with twelve races taking place. These consist of Traditional 3 Hand Mens & Ladies (Confined and Open), 4 Hand Naomhog and Mixed. For the winners there are Perpetual Cups, Trophies and Prize money.

Kilmurry Harvest Festival is a 12 day action packed event with a wide variety of attractions for all the family including a field day with loads of events for all ages as well as a hugh vintage show, show-jumping competition and carriage driving.
