Martha is a graduate of Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork and has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland. Her work explores the domestic and gardening utensil and its effect on the user; works are made from a mixed media of paper porcelain, woven wire, carved wood and painted drift wood.

There is possibly nothing more endearing this time of year, than listening to children’s carol singing. It has the power to touch us all with a warm, magical, glowing feeling of anticipation that Christmas is drawing near. This year, two of our local primary schools are doing us the honour of singing Christmas carols in our cosy eco- friendly visitor centre to create the ultimate festive atmosphere. Monthly heritage walks take place on the first Sunday of every month at 2pm. These monthly walks are open to everyone who has an interest in the Burren and in its natural, built and cultural heritage. The walks are lead by a different expert each month for 2.5 hours and are €10 per person per walk.

At a Farmers’ Market, farmers, growers or producers (usually from a defined local area) are present in person to sell their own produce direct to the public. Farmers’ Markets give local producers the opportunity to sell their goods directly to consumers.
