The Clare Burren Marathon Challenge is a road, green road and trail challenge across the Beautiful Scenic Burren. Enjoy some of Europe's most unique landscapes and see the Riches of the Burren in Bloom. Each participant has a choice of full, half or mini marathon on the day. All three challanges start in Ballyvaughan, Co.Clare at 9am, and all three finish back in Ballyvaughan, Co.Clare.

Saturday 14th of July 2012 in Ballyvaughan in Co. Clare The race will begin with a 750m swim in Ballyvaughan Bay. Then a 24km cycle takes in the famous Corkscrew Hill through the rugged Burren landscape before the descent back into the village. The 5km run is through and around the village and back to the pier.

The event will be held over two days, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October 2011, with two running stages on Saturday and two mountain bike stages on Sunday. The overall winner of The Caveman 2011 will be the competitor with the lowest overall time after all four stages. If you run but don't bike or bike but don't run, don't worry, you can enter the Mountain Running Challenge on Saturday or the Mountain Bike Challenge on Sunday.
