South Clare County of Culture Guided Tour & Lunchtime Concert

Depart Ennis at 10.10am to explore the majestic Quin Abbey with the help of local tour guide Colette Glynn. Colette will bring you to the quaint village of Kilkishen where you will enjoy a Riches of Clare Concert in the restored Kilkishen Protestant Church- now a modern cultural centre with fantastic acoustics. Local artists Joan Hanrahan, Gearoid O’hAllmhurain, Deirdre O’Brien-Vaughan, Alan Hogan and Elle Marie O’Dwyer will lift the roof. You will return to Ennis by 3pm.

Moher and Music

Depart Ennis at 10.10am on a breathtaking guided tour of the Cliffs of Moher where local tour guide, Bríd Neligan, will give an in-depth and informative insight into County Clare and Ireland’s most visited natural attraction. Afterwards enjoy the talents of Siobhan Peoples, Michael (Blackie) O’Connell, Cyril O’Donoghue and Geraldine McGowan at the Riches of Clare lunchtime concert in the unique setting of the Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon. You will arrive back to Ennis by 3pm.

Wednesday 17th August
Walk and Song

Depart Ennis at 10.10am and head East to Mountshannon. There, local guide Bríd Neligan will guide you around this beautiful marina village. You will be met by local sea eagle expert at the Mountshannon Sea Eagles Viewing Point and lead through Aistear Park to the Inis Cealtra/ Holy Island Exhibition. At the Protestant Church you will experience an hour of wonderful music from the Riches of Clare lunchtime concert with artists Denis Liddy, Tim Collins, Elvie Miller and Paul O’Driscoll. The bus will return to Ennis by 3pm.

History and Harmony

Depart Ennis at 10.10am and head West for Vandeleur Walled Garden. Here resident gardener Karoly Torok will guide you around the impressive walled garden at Vandeleur Demense. Local guide Colette Glynn will bring you to Kilkee where you will enjoy a Riches of Clare concert in Culturlann Sweeney with local artists Geraldine Cotter, Eamon Cotter, Charlie Harris and John Flanagan. You will return to Ennis at 3pm.
