Promoting Good Customer Service in ClareClare says Céad Míle Fáilte is an initiative currently being rolled out by Clare Tourism Forum.  With a clear focus on the customer, this initiative is aimed at promoting good customer service in County Clare with the result that the County’s reputation in terms of hospitality and quality customer care will be enhanced.
 
The initiative is aimed at all visitors to County Clare and all businesses involved in Customer Service (Business Owners/Managers and Employees).  
 
Céad Míle Fáilte is Recognisable, Simple and Traditional.  The emblem is synonymous with Clare Tourism Forum whose primary role is to market and promote County Clare
 
What do you need to do?
•       Greet customers with a friendly and cheerful “good morning” / “good afternoon” or “good evening”.
•       Make eye contact with customers, acknowledge them and engage with them.
•       Check that they have the information/directions / assistance etc they need
•       Smile
•       Thank customers for their business.
•       Extend an appropriate and friendly farewell to customers.
 
What Clare Tourism Forum provides to each Business Owners/Managers and Employees
•       Employee Commitment Forms
•       Framed Business Certificate
•       Pin for each Employee
•       Listing on Clare.ie website of businesses who sign up to this initiative

The Gathering 2013

Business Owners/Managers interested in committing to this initiative must complete the attached charter with each of their employees.  You can keep the charters on your own file as a record.  You just need to email or write to Philomena O’Connell, Clare Tourism Forum, Áras Chonate an Cláir, New Road, Ennis (ctf@clarecoco.ie ) providing your business name, business address and a list of employee names who have committed.  Once this information is received, you will receive the Business Certificate and a pin for each employee on the list.
