• Road side parking

Slieve Carran Nature Reserve is just north of the village of Carron and it is a favourite place for local people when visiting the Burren. The nature reserve contains a rich array of flora and fauna as well as historical features such as an old oratory, holy well and a fulacht fia. Parking spaces are limited to the roadside and no other facilities exist at present. A very distinctive feature is the large cliff face where eagles once nested.
