Corcomroe Cistercian Abbey is located near Bell Harbour in North Clare. Substantial remains of the early 13th century abbey and numerous out buildings survive, including the gatehouse and enclosing wall of the abbey grounds. A section of the abbey has been recently roofed protecting a number of important effigies, including that of King Conor O’Brien killed 1268. There are several information boards at the site.
