The Courthouse Gallery, which is part of the Courthouse Studios and Gallery, is a centre of artistic excellence and an integral part of Ennistymon and North Clare life.

Five artisits' studios, a sound recording studio, a main art gallery, and the smaller Red Couch gallery space are based in the newly renovated building.

The Courthouse Studios were set up in the early 1990's by the North Clare Artist Co-Operative in the Old Courthouse Building, which was leased from the Old Ennistymon Heritage Committee. This lasted for five years.

Fiona Woods is one of the orginal artists and is again an artist in the present Courthouse Studios and Gallery.

The gallery is an exhibition and cultural events space, run to the highest professional standards, serving the local and wider communities with art exhibitions, film, performances, music and community cultural events including workshops.

The Courthouse Gallery seeks to attract local and national audiences by exhibiting work of the highest standard by local national and international artists, mainly focusing on emerging artists. Twice yearly, the gallery puts out calls for submissions for new work for exhibition in the gallery.
