Dromore Woods

Dromore Woods are located in the South Eastern part of the Burren region in Co. Clare. The reserve is approximately 400 hectares. It is owned by the state and it acquired recognition as a nature reserve in 1985 because of it's richness in flora and fauna.
Dysert O'Dea Castle
Dysert O Dea, Corofin, Co Clare
Built in a rocky outcrop this tower house was bulit in 1480 by Diarmuid O'Dea. It was badly damanged by the Cromwellians in 1651 but was repaired and opened to the public as an Archaeology Centre in 1986. Today it features an extensive museum tea room and book shop.
