The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's top Visitor attractions. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometers over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O'Brien's Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands Galway Bay as well as The Twelve Pins the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South. A unique experience is always encountered at the Cliffs including stunning views of the dramatic atlantic coastline along 600 metres of pathways viewing of Irelands largest mainland seabird colony including Puffins from April to July.
Rangers provide free guided tours (off peak) and offer information on the birdlife geology botany history & much more. Eco-friendly Visitor Centre. The grass roofed Visitor Centre is set into the hillside and offers an all weather experience. The centre is a unique cave like structure which minimises the visual impact on this fabulous scenic location and uses a range of energy saving and eco-friendly features including geo-thermal solar energy and water recycling. Atlantic Edge Exhibition is a must see in the visitor centre and is the ideal way to learn about the Cliffs. A cafe restaurant with panoramic views a gift shop baggage store tourist information ATM baby changing first aid toilets and much more are all available.
The admission charge includes entry to the visitor centre, all external areas of the visitor zone including the cliff pathways and platforms, unlimited vehicle parking and provision of first aid facilities and safety onsite. Admission to the Cliffs Exhibition is also included.
