The two-mile long beach in Lahinch with its variety of breaks caters for novice, intermediate and experienced surfers. 5 miles further south you will find Spanish Point, another perfect surfing beach. Both are some of the best places in Europe to learn surfing with the advantage of the slower rolling Atlantic waves. John McCarthy, Former Irish Surf Champ and his crew of hardcore surfduddde instructors, invites you and your friends to come and experience the thrill and excitement of surfing at Irelands best known Surf School. Catch your own wave!
Lahinch Surfing Lessons 9 or 90 years or somewhere in between, you should be joining the Lss Crew on one of our Group Surf Lessons. For the very beginner to intermediates of all ages, we can ensure you will experience a positive, successful and fun time in the water.
Each class is 2 hours long, 80-90 minutes of which is spent in the water. Prior to entering the water you will learn how to pop to your feet in 1,2 or 3 steps! Wetsuits and Surfboards are provided along with one of our fully qualified Irish Surfing Association Surf Coaches who will patiently take you through the complete surf experience. Lessons are held in waist deep water so you don't need to be an amazing swimmer. You will learn about water safety, ocean awareness and wave conditions.
Lahinch Surf School is made famous by our friendly, fun and expertly trained surf instructors. Established in 2002 by Former Irish Champion and Pro Surfer John McCarthy, Lahinch Surf School was the first of it's kind on the West Coast of Ireland.
