County Clare has been fortunate in securing a number of excellent new Loop Walks as part of the Shannon Trails/Failte Ireland initiative. There are three in East Clare and one in Mid Clare.

This beach is situated 2.5kms west of Doonbeg. A good place to fish is the north facing beach but only in suitable conditions for flounder and bass. Fishing bait and lugworm are the usual here.
White Strand Beach, Travaun, Miltown Malbay, Co Clare
Located 2.5Km from Milltown Malbay this small beach fishes best in moderate surf conditions particulary flatfish and bass. The rocky headlands offer opportunities to spin for mackeral and pollack. Float fishing for wrasse occurs here aswell.
Shanaway Road, Ennis, Co Clare
Woodstock Golf Club is an excellent parkland course built to the higest standards on free draining soil which allows all year round play. Mature woodland creates a gem of a golf course and this golf course should not be excluded from any itinerary.
