Querrin Pier

Querrin Pier is approximately 3 kms to the west of Poulnasherry Bay. This is a sandy inlet with a long raised bank on the seaward side. There is a choice of fishing spots here. Fishing off the small pier using lugworm, crab and sandeel produces flounder and occasional bass with the last two hours of the flood being the best period. Located 2.75Kms south west of Carrigaholt. Ideal fishing for flatfish and dogfish using lugworm and fish bait. The best time to fish is the beach at low water and the first 3 hours of the flooding tide.
Seafield Pier & Beach
Seafield Pier and Beach, Co Clare
The pier is located is 2.5Km south west of Clare. The popular fishing mark occurs on the surf beach at the southern end. The main fish present here are bass and flounder using ragworm lugworm and fish bait. Flounder has been taken from the pier at high tide.
Shannakea Beach
Labasheeda, Co Clare
This beach is located 6kms east of Labasheeda Village. Bottom Fishing is ideal here where conger bull huss thornback ray and dogfish using mackeral and crab as bait. The best time for fishing is the flood tide.
Spanish Point Beach
Spanish Point Beach, Spanish Point, Co Clare
The beach is located on the northern side of the village. You can fish the flooding tide for flatfish and bass using lugworm and sandeel as bait. You can also spin for pollack on the Black Rock at the northern end of the beach.
