Bridges of Ross
Kilbaha, Co Clare
This rock mark is situated 2.5km north east of Kilbaha. There are many deep gullies and channels where you can fish for wrasse using crab and lugworm. Other species that can be fished are mackeral pollack rockling and conger. You should take care in wet and rough weather conditions.
Cappagh Pier
Kilrush, Co Clare
Located about one kilometer on the south side of Kilrush. The ideal fishing spot is at the end of the pier where you can catch dogfish wrasse conger whiting and small pollack using sandeel and mackeral as baits.
Carrigaholt Pier & Beach
Carrigaholt, Co Clare
This pier is located half a kilometer to the east of the village. Ideal fishing is bottom fishing which produces dab, flounder and dogfish using crab fishbait and lugworm. Nightime fishing conger can be taken on the outer wall of the pier.
Castle Point
Kilkee, Co Clare
Castle Point is located on a beautiful drive 3 miles south of Kilkee.There is a productive rock mark where you can spin for mackeral and pollack. Float fishing for wrasse occurs here aswell. Some garfish and herring may be caught here.
