Bridges of Ross
Kilbaha, Co Clare
This rock mark is situated 2.5km north east of Kilbaha. There are many deep gullies and channels where you can fish for wrasse using crab and lugworm. Other species that can be fished are mackeral pollack rockling and conger. You should take care in wet and rough weather conditions.
Carrigaholt Pier & Beach
Carrigaholt, Co Clare
This pier is located half a kilometer to the east of the village. Ideal fishing is bottom fishing which produces dab, flounder and dogfish using crab fishbait and lugworm. Nightime fishing conger can be taken on the outer wall of the pier.
Kilbaha Pier
Kilbaha, Loop Head, Co Clare
Kilbaha is situated halfway between Loop Head and Carrigaholt. Fishing for conger on the rough ground on the outer side of the pier. This is very productive at night.
Rinevella Bay
Rinevella Bay, Carrigaholt, Co Clare
Located 2.75Kms south west of Carrigaholt. Ideal fishing for flatfish and dogfish using lugworm and fish bait. The best time to fish is the beach at low water and the first 3 hours of the flooding tide.
